WHO WE ARE

AND

WHAT WE STAND FOR

COLLECTING AND TASTING WHISKY'S IN HONOUR OF MAJOR GORDON AND HIS FAMILY

The Major Gordon Whisk(e)y Pals are more than an ordinary Whisky Club. All members come from the Major A. A. Gordon Society who see that club more as a gentleman's club

where Whisk(e)y enthusiasts can find some excellent Whiskey suggestions, share opinions and keep Scottish tradition alive.

The independent club tries to collect Scottish and Irish Whisk(e)ys from distilleries close to Major Gordon's hometown, Bridge of Allan, or distilleries with another Major Gordon or a Gordon family connection. Nevertheless, our club does not limit itself to these distilleries only. Outside our interest in Whisk(e)y, the club occasionally collaborates with the Major A. A. Gordon Society for bespoke releases of other spirits.

Each member of the Major Gordon Whisk(e)y Pals must have a passion for Scottish and Irish culture. Furthermore, each member must see Whisk(e)y tasting not as a snobby or wealthy habit or hobby. Our club pursues high standards for daily life with constant generosity and to support every chance of improvement, not perfection!

EVERY MONTH, WE REVIEW ONE WHISK(E)Y OF THE WORLD'S BEST DISTILLERIES

Every month, a whisky review is published in the newsletter of the Major A. A. Gordon Society. Each member could submit a review of a Whisk(e)y, distillery or any other Whisky topic. Every Whisk(e)y review will later be published in the Whiskey Cabinet on our website.

"The shelling of the poor town (Ypres) was so heavy that I could not enter it though I got near, and who should I find by pure chance in a shed not far off the road to Poperinghe but my own old Quartermaster, Major Andrew Gordon. He gave me a vociferous welcome and got a tin mug and gave me a goodly tot of our Scots "Wine". How we talked over old days... Blessed ignorance!"
